Maintenance - Change Local Date (Set Local Date)

You use the Change Local Date or Set Local Date option to set or change the date in Micronet. This is handy for entering payments that were received on a different day. You can also use it to lock the system date before running an End of Month in MDS, MCL or MGL. This ensures that all End of Month reports display the correct date.

To change or lock your system date:

1. Select MAINTENANCE | CHANGE LOCAL DATE.

Technical Tip In MCL, MGL and MRF, you select MAINTENANCE | SET LOCAL DATE

Micronet displays the Set Local Date screen.

2. Enter or select the required date in the Set Local Date field.

The date format is DDMMYY. For End of Month processing, you should enter the last day of the month.

3. Select one of the following buttons:

• Temporary – to change the date in Micronet on your workstation only
• Lock Date – to set the new date for all other users who log into Micronet
• Reset – to reset the date back to the system date set on your workstation
• Cancel – to exit the Set Local Date screen without saving your date change.

Micronet returns to the main screen. The Date heading in the lower right corner changes to the date you set.

Technical Tip Locking the date in MDS also locks the date in POS, but does not affect any other ledger in Micronet. If you exit Micronet and log back in again, the date reverts back to the system date.
